Trading appears to be only available in the US and operates through US brokerages, much the same as trading stocks currently works on the platform. Founder and partner at Morgan Creek Digital, Anthony Pompliano was one of the first to notice and tell the world with his recent tweet:

At this stage only Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and Litecoin (LTC) have the Yahoo Finance “buy” and “sell” trading integrations, while other emerging cryptocurrencies like EOS (EOS) and Cardano (ADA) have information pages and charts but don’t yet have trading integrated. The Japanese arm of internet giant Yahoo, had previously said in March 2018 that it has plans to open a cryptocurrency exchange by “April 2019 or later”.

This development reinforces how serious Yahoo are about crypto.

BTC continues to trade around the $7,000 level, having broke the $7k level two days ago on August 28th 2018. At press time, Bitcoin is now trading at $7,024.
